September 26 is St. Cosmo's Day, a fun time that we coincide with a small musical ritual every year. In 2023, we presented the self-resonating gong by Alessandro Sciaraffa, intertwined with the saxophone of Samuele Molinari and the cello of Gabriele Tai.
This was followed by a performance with Sofia Pozdniakova and Giovanni Mancuso, who conceived an entire repertoire for this occasion, based on electric organs and voice, as a tribute to some of the most prominent figures of 20th century minimalism, offering a concert that features their original compositions intertwined with their personal tribute to Glass, Riley, Feldman, von Bingen and Cage. This is the work at the core of “Un Soffio Elettrico”, their first album as a duo, released by Cosmogram in July 2024.
